I have been in a few campaigns, but the tone of this year's race certainly has been different than those I have been involved with in the past. That's why I enjoyed the opportunity to engage in a little neighborhood fun when I was knocking on doors in Massena. Mike Violi and his neighbor, George Hammill, have a lot of fun picking on each other - in a good-natured ribbing way - during the campaign season. Mike thought his conservative neighbor would benefit from a visit from his assembly representative. I took the bait, and George was very gracious. We had a nice visit.
