CSEA Local 1000 has added its voice to the organizations backing Assemblywoman Addie Jenne Russell in her bid to retain her seat in the New York State Assembly.
CSEA represents 300,000 active and retired public and private sector employees across the state.
"CSEA members need elected officials who will fight for working people so that they can earn wages that keep up with ever increasing costs," CSEA Local President Danny Donahue said.
"We need elected officials who will fight to maintain good jobs that benefit our communities. CSEA knows that building strong communities starts with good economic and tax policies that benefit everyone as opposed to just those at the top," he added.
Assemblywoman Russell praised CSEA members for the work they do in St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties to build and maintain infrastructure and provide other valuable services in our communities.
"I will continue to fight for policies that benefit working people in this state and strengthens the middle class in the North Country," she said.
Assemblywoman Russell has been endorsed by a number of groups and organizations during the current election cycle including the North Country Central Trades Council and its parent organization, AFL-CIO; New York State United Teachers, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and the Police Conference of New York, Inc.
